Spring Forward...

Today, when I stepped outside, something was different...

The sky was a weird color, there was something odd on the horizon, and there was an odd tingling feeling on my skin.

At first I thought that something horrible had happened, like a nuclear weapon had exploded or something.

Then I slowly started to remember...that color in the sky...that's blue! That thing on the horizon...that's the sun! The feeling on my skin...that's warmth! All things which I haven't experienced in five months.

Ahh, Spring! I salute you!

We don't get spring here until almost April. Not that I care to perpetuate the myth that it's always snow covered in Canada, but it's true.

Unless you're in BC of course. West coast bastards.

Yeah, we got snow here in New York too! I forgot how early spring comes in Nebraska. I remember I left NY one year in March and it was sleeting and snowing. Once I got to Lincoln it was like 65-70 degrees which tripped me out and I had to buy all new clothes!

Ugh, you suck. We just had another 6-8 incher in PA last night with another one on the way Sunday night. Bleh. I just want the sun. And a beach. And drinks. On the beach. Served by a really hot guy. Or five.

Hey tubbyman, iIsn't all American beer non-alcoholic?

LOL They definitely pump that stuff with alcohol, especially malt liquor and other ghetto brands. Most American beers, except maybe Yeungling and others allow the same lines, I like to call soft drinks or barley soda. They rarely compare to many imports. Even some of the imports we get here are tame versions of the real deal, i.e. Guinness Stout.

Hey, I'm originally from the Midwest, and I know spring doesn't come *this* early! I think it's just a false alarm. Don't let the blue sky and sun fool you.

I agree with Fayza; it's trickery, I tell you! The groundhog saw its shadow this year. The Midwest (and the parts of the country to follow) certainly has more ass-kicking in store for it!
