I burned myself yesterday, and I am trying desperately not to pop the blister. I know, Internet, not to pop it. I know this. But it's so tempting, so ripe and ready to go. It'll be a long, hard battle of resistance, but with your support I will make it through. I will resist, by God, I will resist!

Ah screw it..pop it! I always do.
Ah screw it..pop it! I always do.
I understand your struggle. I mean, what does the risk of blood infection matter when measured agains the utter satisfaction of releasing all that weird, clear liquid that's sloshing around in there?
yummy
Unless you want a pus explosion, I highly recomment you leave it alone. Cover it up with a Spiderman band-aid or something.
I'm a very important doctor and I say to pop it.
Take a little hair pin and puncture it. Let the ooze slowly seep out. This way it won't get infected and it will be fun to watch it drain. Then put a band-aid on.
Not only is it satisfying to pop, but if you play your cards right you get a scab you can pick!
let me go out, like a blister in the sun...
You're right it is tempting!
Peace
Hey, thank you so much for your kind comment on my blog. You know what? Guess these people might not know me as well as they assume, you've got a point. As for the blister, think it might heal a day or two. How tempting indeed it is to pick at blisters and zits, argh... but yes, resist it!!

Depending on "where" it is (how about a picture?), you can keep it covered.
I dunno. I struggle (and a lot of time fail) with the same thing.
Hang in there!
i'm going to play it this way...
assuming you do pop be sure to remove all the skin that consisted of the blister. once the entire "raw spot" is exposed let it dry for an hour or so. then apply neosporin (sp?) to the "raw spot" and cover.
(cause i know you can't stop the pick'n)
I'd pop it. Then again, I'm a weirdo who actually likes scars so really, you can't go by me.
do it ! Pop it.. you know you wanna... you know it'll ooze with oozy goodness... poof.. pop...
